Tenuta del Buonamico@WINESCAPE Riva del Garda

This year, for the first time, we have the birth of WINESCAPE (wine+escape+lansdcape), which will take place within the well-known fair HOSPITALITY – The Reception Hall, which will be held from 21 to 24 March in Riva del Garda. It is an event dedicated to wine companies and their tourist offer. An event within the event, therefore, which will be, as Giovanna Voltolini, exhibition manager claims, “a double opportunity for companies”. Winescape will have a dedicated area of 500 square meters, within which exhibitors will present their welcome formula and will be able to get in touch with an international audience made up of tour operators and hotel buyers. All this to create a point of contact between the wineries structured for hospitality and the agencies that will be able to include this type of reality in their travel packages. Being a fair based on b2b, then, there will be a concrete opportunity to get in touch with the various buyers of the hotel sector, a contact that could also be interesting from a wine sales point of view.

“We started with a consideration – explains Giovanna Voltolini, Hospitality exhibition manager – it would not have made sense for Riva del Garda Fierecongressi to enter the world of wine with an event linked to product quality paths, because this is a sector with consolidated trade fairs. Instead, we thought that there could be a great potential linked to hospitality in the cellar and in the structures present within the wineries. Thus, through Hospitality, we have chosen to invest in the link between wine and hospitality “.

Winescape, therefore, will not be just an exhibition space, but a real laboratory of ideas, in which the operators of the sector will have the opportunity to compare and improve, making their structure more and more attractive, expanding the services and diversifying the offering. This is also due to the fact that, according to the latest report on Italian food and wine tourism, the number of people interested in this type of experience has gone from 21% to 55%.

“Within the area, training events, debates and presentations with experts will be held to address issues such as the production, legal and economic aspects of geographical indications and the relationship with the tourist offer of the area. An in-depth study is scheduled, which has been organized by the president of Slow Food Trentino Alto Adige and the president of the Winegrowers of Trentino on the evolution of a new travel model characterized by meetings and exchanges with winemakers, producers and restaurateurs, to discover local traditions. ” Says Ms Voltolini. Thanks to the collaboration with Ais-the Italian Sommelier Association, there will also be a wine shop to taste the proposals of the wineries present at the fair, masterclasses and tastings in combination with monochromatic finger foods.Only 10 companies will take part in this event, 9 of which are Italian and one French.

Tenuta del Buonamico is among the privileged who will participate in the event, always looking for new opportunities to achieve excellence. One of our managers, Ms Rebecca Narducci, will be happy to meet the various experts in the sector. “It is not the first time that I have participated in a fair on the hospitality sector”, declares Ms Narducci, “but Winescape certainly represents an innovative event in the sector, precisely because of the fact that wine tourism is an ongoing reality expansion, and also having the opportunity to touch the proposed product is certainly something that will attract the attention of the various buyers. Italy is a country where there is no shortage of food and wine excellences, and we are convinced that this sector has a potential yet to be developed, so we are sure of the success of the event and of the Estate within it “.We will therefore have the opportunity to fully illustrate the Buonamico reality. Buonamico intended as a winery, in Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca, an area that has always been known for its wine production. In addition to the classic white wines of Montecarlo (the second oldest White DOC in Italy), called Montecarlo Bianco DOC White Label, Vivi Vermentino IGT Toscana, M.I.O. Viognier IGT Toscana and Vasario IGT Toscana, there will be our reds (Montecarlo Rosso DOC Blue Label, Cercatoja IGT Toscana and Il Fortino Syrah IGT Toscana) and sparkling wines, which have become a must-have for sparkling wine lovers (in particular Spumante Particolare Brut Rosé and the Inedito Particolare Brut Rosé Nature). We will show videos and photos relating to the splendid reception spaces of the Estate, such as the tasting room, the belvedere room, the panoramic terrace, and all the various parts of the production area, such as the Stainless steel tanks room  and the Barriques room, without forgetting the wonderful historic cellar, which hosts all the production vintages of Buonamico, starting from the first bottle dated 1964 up to the last harvest.

We will then talk about the new accommodation facility, the Buonamico Wine Resort, with its wonderful rooms overlooking the vineyards or the outdoor swimming pool. Each room has the name of a vine, and has a panoramic terrace where you can enjoy the sun and the good air of the hills, surrounded by greenery, perhaps enjoying a glass of wine, or a succulent breakfast, served directly in your room. A corner of peace and tranquility to disconnect from routine, and at the same time be able to relax in an environment equipped with every comfort. The wellness center could not be missing, where you can be pampered by a hot bath, an herbal tea or a massage.

Finally, we will illustrate our Syrah restaurant, which takes its name from the homonimous vine, as in the Tenuta del Buonamico property we have the oldest Syrah vine in Tuscany and probably also in Italy. Our chef iStefano Chiappelli will be able to delight you with traditional dishes, at zero distance, but revisited in a gourmet key, such as his famous Rosticciana, the roast pigeon and his fish dishes, and the rest of the staff, skilfully guided by Maitre Andrea Minuti, will welcome you warmly and will advise you on the best food-wine combinations.

Everything, at the Estate, is designed according to innovation, but always respecting the territory and its traditions, starting from the structure of the cellar and the restaurant, with the vine-shaped roof, up to the processing methods, and keeping an eye on sustainability. For example, we have obtained the perfect balance of carbon dioxide emissions, which are totally balanced by the oxygen produced by our woods, which we deliberately leave intact not only to bring the right amount of humidity to the vineyards, but also to obtain this fundamental result for safeguarding the planet. We are waiting for you, therefore, in Winescape, to get to know the Buonamico reality, of which we are very proud.
