Once again we are pleased to announce the success of the Buonamico Estate at  Councours Mondial de Bruxelles, which was held from 19 to 22 May.

The competition, which began thirty years ago, has as its objective the choice of excellent wines from all over the world, in order to offer consumers real tasting pleasures.

The competition jury is made up of professionals from all over the world, to ensure greater impartiality for the event.

Tenuta del Buonamico participated with its Cercatoja IGT Tuscany 2017 wines, which won the gold medal, and with the VIVI Vermentino IGT Tuscany 2021, which won the silver medal.

Cercatoja IGT Tuscany is obtained with the blend of Sangiovese (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Syrah (20%). It is a full-bodied red that ferments in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, and then carries out the malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging in French oak barrels. These 18 months of aging give the wine a remarkable structure. The nose is intense, with evident notes of dark fruit, cocoa and spices. The taste is elegant and deep, with an evident but pleasantly rounded and balanced tannic texture. To be enjoyed with roasted red meats, game, grilled red meat and savory cheeses, for a multisensory pleasure.

VIVI Vermentino IGT Tuscany is instead a pure Vermentino that comes from a soft pressing. The must thus obtained is left to cool for 24 hours in order to favor the natural sediment. The clear part is fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Ageing also takes place in steel.

With an intense, fresh, floral and mineral aroma, and a fresh, savory, full taste, with a marked acidity that gives a remarkable persistence, this wine will amaze you if paired with seafood appetizers and vegetables, and in particular with fried fish and vegies, or even simply served as an aperitif.

Yet another satisfaction for the Estate, which once again confirms itself as a producer of wines of internationally recognized excellence.
